Internships at Oak Creek Counseling Center

As an intern at Oak Creek Counseling Center, you will have an opportunity to develop your skills and receive advanced training while working towards licensure. Interns at Oak Creek are part-time, at-will employees and receive hourly pay and a portion of client fees for providing therapy services. We expect our interns to provide sliding scale services and at least 10 therapy hours per week and to abide by all BBS licensing requirements and ethical/legal requirements.

Oak Creek is dedicated to preparing interns to move into private practice. Interns must feel ready and be motivated to market Oak Creek and themselves in order to build a sustainable practice. Marketing includes networking, speaking, and self promotion. Interns are also expected to participate in community meetings and other community service duties.

Oak Creek currently has offices in Berkeley, Pleasant Hill, and San Francisco. Interns can choose one or more office locations for client visits. Referrals are available from the surrounding communities.
